Southern Strawberry Sweet Tea

Ingredients

1. 1 cup of hulled and halved fresh strawberries
2. 3/4 cup of granulated sugar (or more if desired)
3. 4 bags of strong black tea, ideally Orange Pekoe or another flavor
4. Half a gallon of water
5. Garnish with optional fresh mint leaves
6. Garnish with optional lemon slices
