Ingredients
For the Chocolate Cake:

- 3/4 cup Dutch-processed cocoa powder, sifted
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup yogurt, at room temperature
- 1 cup hot water
- 2 large eggs, at room temperature
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
For the Swiss Meringue Chocolate Buttercream:
- 5 large egg whites
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 cups unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 8 ounces high-quality dark chocolate, chopped, melted, and cooled
