A fusion between two classic desserts, this non-alcoholic, egg-free version of Black Forest Tiramisu is enriched with flavours of dark chocolate, coffee, sweetened cherries and creamy mascarpone. Ingredients:
For the Tiramisu:
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
8 ounces mascarpone cheese, softened
1 cup brewed coffee, cooled
2 tablespoons cherry liqueur (optional)
24 ladyfinger cookies
1 cup cherries, pitted and halved
Shaved chocolate, for garnish
For the Cherry Sauce:
1 cup cherries, pitted and halved
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 cup water
1 tablespoon cornstarch
