Ingredients
For the Pork Chops:
- 4 boneless pork chops
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
For the Scalloped Potatoes:
- 6 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp thyme
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Extra Parmesan for topping

Preparing the Pork Chops
- Seasoning and Browning:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Season the pork chops with salt and pepper. In a skillet over medium-high heat, heat the olive oil and brown the pork chops for about 3-4 minutes on each side. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- Making the Balsamic Glaze:
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and balsamic vinegar. Simmer for about 2 minutes, scraping up any brown bits from the pan. Pour this glaze over the pork chops.
