Fluffy Apple Cinnamon Cake with a Golden Crust

    1. Prepare the Batter:
        • In a mixing bowl, beat 3 eggs at room temperature until foamy. Gradually add 75 grams of sugar and 8 grams of vanilla sugar, continuing to beat until the mixture is light and fluffy.
        • Sift in 150 grams of flour and 10 grams of baking powder. Mix gently until well combined.

       

      • Add 100 grams of melted butter and mix until smooth.
    2. Prepare the Apples:
        • Peel and cut 3 apples into 3 cm sized pieces. Set aside.

       

    3. Assemble the Cake:
        1. Line a 19 cm baking pan with parchment paper and grease it.
        2. Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Arrange the apple pieces evenly on top of the batter.

       

      • Sprinkle 3 tablespoons of sugar and a generous amount of cinnamon over the apples.
    4. Bake the Cake:
        • Preheat your oven to 180°C (356°F). Bake the cake for 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

       

      • After baking, run a knife around the edge of the cake to detach it from the pan. Turn the cake onto a plate.
    5. Create the Golden Crust:
        • Place the cake back onto a baking pan and switch your oven to the grill function. Grill the cake for an additional 3 minutes to achieve a golden crust.

       

    6. Serve:
      • Let the cake cool slightly before serving. Enjoy this fluffy, fragrant cake with a hot cup of tea or coffee.
