HOMEMADE BEEF STROGANOFF

Step 1: Sear the beef

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced beef sirloin and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
Step 2: Saute the aromatics

In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook until softened, about 3 minutes. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until they release their juices and become tender, about 5 minutes.
Step 3: Make the Sauce

Return the cooked beef to the skillet. Stir in the beef broth and Dijon mustard, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Simmer for 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to melt together. Remove the skillet from the heat and stir in the sour cream until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Step 4: Serve

Serve the Homemade Beef Stroganoff over cooked egg noodles, mashed potatoes, or rice. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley for a pop of color and flavour. Enjoy!
