Step 1: Cook the Chicken
- Heat a medium skillet over high heat and add a splash of oil.
- Add the chicken strips to the skillet and cook for a few minutes until they turn golden brown and are cooked through. Set the chicken aside.
Step 2: Prepare the Avocado Mash
- In a medium bowl, mash the avocados, leaving them slightly chunky.
- Add the garlic powder, lemon or lime juice, and salt and pepper to taste. Mix well and set aside.
Step 3: Assemble the Crunchwrap
- Lay a large tortilla on a flat surface.
- Layer the following ingredients in the center of the tortilla: cooked chicken, barbecue sauce, cheese (if using), tortilla chips or tostadas, onion, tomato, lettuce, jalapeños, and mashed avocado.
- Place a small cutout tortilla or mini tortilla on top of the layered ingredients.
- Fold the edges of the large tortilla over the center, creating pleats as you go to fully enclose the filling.
Step 4: Cook the Crunchwrap
- Heat a nonstick pan over low-medium heat and add a bit of oil.
- Place the assembled wrap in the pan, seam-side down.
- Cook for a few minutes on each side until the tortilla is firm, crunchy, and golden brown.
- Remove from the pan, cut into halves or quarters, and serve immediately.
