Making the Crust

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). This ensures the oven is ready for the crust to bake evenly.
  2. Prepare the Crust Mixture: In a medium-sized bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Stir until the mixture resembles wet sand and the crumbs are fully coated.
  3. Press the Crust: Pour the crumb mixture into a 9×9-inch baking dish lined with parchment paper or lightly greased. Press the crumbs firmly and evenly into the bottom of the pan using the back of a spoon or the bottom of a measuring cup.
  4. Bake the Crust: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 10 minutes, or until the crust is lightly golden and set. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly while you prepare the filling.
