SLICED BAKED POTATOES

  • Heat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  1. Prepare Potatoes:
  • Place the thinly sliced potatoes in a bowl. Add 3 tablespoons of the melted butter, minced onion (if using), chopped parsley, garlic powder or pressed garlic, kosher salt, black pepper, and half of the Parmesan cheese. Toss to combine, ensuring the potatoes are evenly coated with the mixture.
  1. Prepare Pie Plate:
  • Brush the remaining tablespoon of melted butter over the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie plate.
  1. Arrange Potatoes:
  • Arrange the coated sliced potatoes in the prepared pie plate, layering them evenly.
  1. Sprinkle with Cheese:
  • Sprinkle the remaining Parmesan cheese evenly over the top of the potatoes.
  1. Bake:
  • Bake the potatoes in the preheated oven for 50 to 60 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the potatoes are tender. Check for over-browning around 45 minutes into baking; if necessary, tent with a sheet of foil to prevent burning.
  1. Serve:
  • Once the potatoes are cooked through and golden brown on top, remove them from the oven. Allow them to cool for a few minutes before serving.
