STUFFED BELL PEPPERS

Step 1: Prepare the Bell Peppers

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare Peppers: Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds and membranes. Rinse them under cold water.

Step 2: Cook the Filling

  1. Cook Ground Beef: In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and chopped onion over medium heat until the beef is browned and the onions are tender. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Prepare Rice-a-Roni: Prepare the Rice-a-Roni according to the package instructions.

Step 3: Combine and Stuff

  1. Mix Filling: In a large bowl, combine the cooked ground beef and onions with the prepared Rice-a-Roni.
  2. Stuff Peppers: Stuff each bell pepper with the beef and rice mixture, packing it in firmly.

Step 4: Bake

  1. Arrange Peppers: Place the stuffed peppers upright in a baking dish. If necessary, cut a small slice off the bottom of each pepper to help them stand upright.
  2. Bake: Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, until the peppers are tender.
